From Newcastle: Around 2 hours
Suggested Route
Exit the Pacific Highway approximately 27 km north of Hexham.
Take Bucketts Way through Stroud
Shortly after passing Stratford, turn left onto Gloucester Tops Road
Follow the unsealed, winding road through farmland and the Gloucester River Valley for about 24 km.
You'll cross several concrete fords (beautiful photo op spots!) before spotting the sign for the caravan park—turn left promptly to avoid going too far
Tip: For first time visitors, please put our address into your GPS or have maps ready, as there is no reception on Gloucester Tops Road.
Warning: After heavy rain, the fords may be impassable. It’s a good idea to check road conditions ahead, especially if you're towing or in a larger vehicle. There is a flood detour available for some vehicles.
The journey is as much part of the experience as the destination—expect scenic farmland, bushland, and river crossings.
Once you arrive, you're greeted by one of the most peaceful, wildlife-rich parks in the region. It’s well worth the trip!
